Chloe was nowhere to be found for six weeks. She was a 14-year-old puppy who wandered away while on a hike with her owners. Luckily, she was saved and returned to safety by a couple of mountaineers.

Her owners are Larry Osborne and Anouk Patel. They took Chole out for a walk on Mt. Boss in Colorado where she ran away. They knew Chloe was capable of retracing her steps back to her owners. But it was to their surprise when she did not come back.

So concerned for her safety and whereabouts, the couple posted a photo of their pet on a Facebook page. However, weeks passed and there was no word about Chloe. This prompted them to think badly about the condition of their pet.

That was until some mountaineers heard the sound of her barking as they reached the summit. They informed Trinity Smith about what they encountered. Smith spent the better half of the day looking for the source of the barking. But the night came too soon and she had to retreat back home.

The next day, she employed the help of her friend, Sean Nichols. They pushed on with the search for the pup that they assumed was Chloe. They combed through the 14,000-foot mountain and called her name. Not long after, Chloe stuck her head out from behind a boulder.

Nichols and Smith took the little dog down the mountain. They took to social media to inform people about her rescue. Her owners, Osborne and Patel, confirmed that the pup was Chloe right away.

During her time as a lost puppy on the mountain, Chloe lost a lot of weight. She went from 90 to 26 pounds. Now that she is home and with her family, she began to gain back some of her lost weight. Smith is overjoyed to see Chloe reunited with her family and recovering rather quickly.
